Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to fill the role of Lead Teacher in our preschool program. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for young learners. The ideal candidate should possess the necessary qualifications and experience to excel in this role.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education.
Alternatively, must be actively working towards obtaining a degree in Education.
Experience:
Previous experience working in a preschool or early childhood education setting is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Certifications:
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within the first month of employment).
Schedule:
Availability for 25-30 hours per week (Monday-Friday), with flexibility to accommodate program needs.
Compensation:
Starting pay is $9.00 per hour, with the potential for higher compensation based on the candidate's level of education and experience.
